Meet the Desert Bloom Family Medicine Team
Dr. Christopher Hiler, M.D.
Dr. Christopher Hiler began his medical studies at the College of Medicine in Oklahoma City, choosing his specialty in Family Medicine out of a genuine desire to help the greatest number of people at every stage of life. In 1999, Dr. Hiler completed his residency in Bakersfield, California, before relocating to Phoenix, where he began work as the Clinical Director at a clinic in Avondale. It wasn’t long before his passion led him to open his own clinic, and in August 2000 he founded what became Desert Bloom Family Medicine in the Maryvale area. Over the following decades, he opened two other Family Practice Clinics, one in West Phoenix and his most recent facility in Surprise. While medicine is his profession, helping others is the most gratifying passion in his life.
Dr. Tisha Schwartz, M.D.
Dr Schwartz is a board certified Family Medicine physician who completed her residency at Mayo Clinic in 2003. She has lived and practiced medicine in Arizona for almost 20 years. She sees patients of all ages and values the ability to partner with patients and their family members in their medical care, with a special focus on preventative medicine and women’s health. She enjoys spending time with her husband, their 3 daughters and their many animals.
Dr. Ethan O. Kennedy, D.O.
Dr Kennedy was born in Seattle and grew up in Oregon, graduating from Oregon State University with a degree in Zoology. He earned his medical degree at Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Mesa General Hospital. He discovered his passion for sunshine shortly after arriving in Arizona, and now he never wants to leave. In his spare time, he enjoys movies, producing music and spending time with his children.
Christine Rocks-Lopez, MSN, RN, FNP-C
Christine was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where she started her career in the medical field as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), volunteering at a local fire department. She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing with honors from Prairie State College in 2002 and worked as an RN in Emergency Departments and as a Flight Nurse for many years. In 2008, Christine and her family relocated to Arizona where she obtained both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University, graduating with honors and becoming a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015. Christine is passionate about providing high quality, personalized care that truly connects with each patient and their families, and teaching her approach to future Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time, she is a wife and mother of 2 active boys.

Noemi Pimentel MSN, RN, FNP-C
Noemi is a Family Nurse Practitioner, board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She attended nursing school at Mesa Community College where she obtained her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2005. She then furthered her education at Grand Canyon University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015, and a Master of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Noemi started her Nurse Practitioner career in Neurology prior to joining the team here at Desert Bloom Family Medicine in 2020. Noemi is married and has two daughters, and she’s passionate about traveling in her spare time.
